Still serving as the City Attorney for Huntsville. Remarried in June, 2007 to the Rev. Kerry Holder. Together, we have four children: Dylan, Rachel, Christian, and Lily.

Peter now lives in Hawaii. “I have reinvented myself as a middle and high school math teacher! Who wudda thunk! To practice law in Hawaii, I would have to take the Hawaii Bar Exam (which would mean months of studying Hawaii law), and then attempt to establish a practice assuming I passed the bar. I was more than happy to retire as a practicing attorney (although I’m keeping my Alabama license current), but needed something to do to challenge my mind. A friend was principal of a small charter school focused on native Hawaiians, and she was desperate for a math and science teacher. I taught at her school for two years and then moved to a much larger, private K-12 school. I’m having a blast."
